I II III
“I was setting the table in their apartment for breakfast one morning when the door into the bedroom suddenly flew open. Elizabeth raced out, flush-faced in nightdress and negligee, laughing as she ran. Philip bounded, whooping, in pursuit, a lean, athletic figure in a white bathrobe.
I continued laying the table as they dodged round it, this way and that. Then, spotting the open door into the corridor, Elizabeth raced through it. Philip charged after her, and the pair of them rushed away along the corridor. They did not come back. There was another entrance to their bedroom farther along the corridor, and presumably the chase continued through that.”
